How many times have you searched for an answer to your technology question only to get more confused by the results you found? Believe it or not, it happens to me too so, I understand your frustration.
Hi! My name is Vivian and I teach technology to non-techy people in a non-techy way. Although I am trained and have used a variety of technology, I am Microsoft certified to teach the Office products and I specialize in MS Excel and MS Access.
I have been using and teaching technology all my adult life. (We won’t talk about how many years THAT’S been!) I have been in the military and have worked in the corporate world and have taught classes of all sizes, shapes and settings including private classes for corporations and a well-known community college.
Because of my experience, I am able to bring real-life scenarios into the classroom and often offer solutions that are outside of the textbook. Textbooks are a great way to get started but our situations are always more complex, aren’t they? In fact, it often takes combining several scenarios and methods to reach a complex solution. This is something that is hardly ever covered in a textbook, let alone in a classroom.
My students enjoy working with me because I am able to assess a class and cover all learning types and I have the unique ability to be able to break technology down into minute pieces and lay it out in ways that most anyone can understand, including non-techy types.
My clients love working with me because I am able to think outside the box and offer solutions to their complex situations by looking the problem from different angles and trying different approaches, often combining several processes into one solution, often saving them hours of work.
I currently offer private corporate training classes in Microsoft Excel and Access. I am a Microsoft Certified Office Expert and can teach any of the Office products at any level from Intro to Advanced and Macros/VBA/Programming (automating). By specializing in Excel and Access I can show your employees how to use these either or both of these softwares to fit your needs or to give them a general understanding.
And if you are simply looking for a way to reward your employees with additional training that will further their career, I offer that as well.
When I’m not teaching and helping clients, I love being outdoors. I was born and raised in San Diego and will always be a Southern California girl, even though I no longer live in California. I love laughing, traveling, the ocean, the mountains, the desert, sunsets, wine, summery cocktails, coffee and vanilla lattes but most of all, I value my family and my tribe of friends. I am loyal to a fault and will do most anything for those I love.
